Getting to Southampton Airport (SOU)

Situated just 4 miles from the centre of Southampton, Southampton Airport is very easy to reach by car and by public transport for your flight to Manchester. If driving, you can make the journey in around 10 minutes without traffic. There are several bus routes that serve the airport, and Southampton Airport also benefits from a train station just outside the terminal - making it one of the shortest 'train to plane' connections in Europe!


At Southampton Airport you have three parking options: Short Stay, Priority, and Long Stay. The rates vary depending on how long you need to stay for, as well as the distance from the terminal building, so you can choose the parking option that's most convenient and best value for you. For the best rate on parking at Southampton Airport we recommend that you book online in advance with Flybe, or add a parking option when you book your flight.

You can also stay in the Short Stay car park for up to 10 minutes free of charge.

By bus

Several bus routes serve Southampton Airport from the city centre, as well as from around Southampton. Travelling to the airport from the centre typically takes between 35-40 minutes, so ensure you leave plenty of time for your journey.

By train

Southampton Airport Parkway Station is adjacent to the main terminal, and the walk from your train to the airport will take under a minute. When travelling from Southampton city centre, your journey to Southampton Airport takes around 7 minutes.
