Flybe's summer schedule takes off with extensive choice of 145 routes

Leading regional airline’s 2012 summer schedule includes 8 new routes and total choice of up to 3,080 flights a week perfect for short breaks

Summer officially arrives this weekend and will soar off to a flying start as Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline and the UK’s Number One Domestic carrier, keeps Britain on the move with its new 2012 Summer schedule that offers a total of up to 3,080 flights a week on 145 routes amongst which are eight new routes. As a result, Flybe is giving 7.3 million passengers the freedom to enjoy the summer with an extensive timetable that also includes the reintroduction of a wide choice of popular summer sea and sun destinations including to regional France, Portugal, Spain and Croatia. 

In addition, this weekend also marks the start of Flybe’s new Manchester hub operations that offers an additional 86 regional point to point connections and 12 new flights through Manchester airport. In committing to better serve its passengers with improved connectivity with reduced minimum domestic connecting times both domestically and for onward  international travel, Flybe’s new initiative will benefit in particular passengers travelling to and from Aberdeen, Belfast City, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Inverness and the Isle of Man as well as those flying with its franchise partner Loganair from Norwich.

Regional highlights for summer includetwo new summer routes from Manchester to Newquay and Knock in Western Ireland, to where a new service from Leeds Bradford will also start; also Newcastle to Bergen (Norway); Newquay to Newcastle and Norwich; between Birmingham and Waterford (Ireland) and from Southampton to Tours in France.  In addition, Loganair are offering four new flights out of Norwich (to Exeter, the Isle of Man, Manchester and Southampton).

Flybe has established a strong presence at London Gatwick airport from where it will operate 10 routes during Summer 2012 that, as well as its convenient UK regional services, also includes the return of a twice daily service to Nantes and the ever popular weekend flights to Bergerac. The airline flies over four times more domestic routes than any other airline from London Gatwick and remains the consistent holder of the airport’s Gold Award for outstanding punctuality.
