30th Janauary 2017

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has extended its winter ski routes from Birmingham Airport to allow snow sports’ enthusiasts the chance to take full advantage of the off-peak season, with flights on its recently launched services to Geneva and Chambery continuing through to 15th April 2017. Tickets are available for booking at from £49.99 one way, including taxes and charges.

These offer the airline’s Birmingham customers wanting to travel the ‘Fastest Way from A to Flybe’ and looking for some late fun in snow, access to some of the regions’ most popular ski resorts direct from their local regional airport.

Weekly Saturday flights to Geneva take just one hour and forty-five minutes from where there are excellent onward transport connections to the slopes.

Chambery is renowned as the gateway to a number of Alpine ski resorts given its proximity to Mont Blanc and Flybe offers weekly flights to this key destination from where there is again easy access to some of the finest ski slopes and choice of winter facilities in the world. The Savoie Mont Blanc region features over 100 ski resorts and 4,800 km of slopes for all abilities. It includes the world-famous Courchevel les Ménuires, Méribel and Val Thorens resorts which are just over 60 miles away from Chambery airport.  With its breathtaking scenery, the city is located close to Lake Bourget and the region offers a wide choice of additional historic and cultural attractions.

The ski season at the many resorts close to both Geneva and Chambery continues well into spring, with many of the higher altitude destinations maintaining good snow coverage well into what is regarded as the ‘off-peak’ season, so offering significant savings when combined with Flybe’s affordable weekly flights.
