Europe’s largest regional airline now offering passengers the opportunity to take off for less with Avios

26th October 2016

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, and Avios have today (24th October 2016) announced that it is now possible for customers to get even more value - by part paying for their flights using their accrued Avios points. As part of the airline’s extended Avios Travel Rewards programme, flights can be booked and partially paid directly through

Flybe passengers have been able to collect Avios for two years, and now they can offset the cost of a flight with as few as 1,500 Avios (equating to £7.50 off) and up to 4,500 Avios (equating to £22.50) off the price of a one way flight. And passengers will still collect Avios on their flight pre the discount.

This great new benefit for Flybe’s customers also simplifies and adds flexibility to the way in which customers can spend their Avios giving them discounted flights. Flybe customers can part pay easily by simply choosing a flight on, inputting their Avios membership number, and then selecting the amount they would like to offset against their booking.

Flybe customers can collect up to four points for every £1 spent on Flybe flights (excluding taxes). Avios can also be collected when flying with Flybe’s franchise partners, Loganair and Blue Islands, and they can be spent on Loganair, Blue Islands and Stobart Air; ensuring every corner of the UK is covered from northern Scotland to the Channel Islands.

Avios can also be collected with over 1,000 brands via the Avios estore on so travellers can accumulate points to spend on their flights when making their everyday purchases.

Amy Valcik, Flybe Chief Sales and Marketing Officer said: “We are thrilled to be expanding our loyalty partnership with Avios in giving our passengers not only better value but also greater flexibility in how they can pay when travelling with Flybe. With the ability to not only earn Avios with every flight but also now to purchase flights at and partially pay with Avios, customers can save a bit of extra cash to spend onboard with Café Flybe or at their destination.”

Chris Treadwell, Commercial Director, Avios, says: “Part paying Flybe flights using Avios is a great way for customers to get a discount on flights from regional airports around the UK travelling to a large number of destinations.  This offers our customers another good reason to collect Avios on their everyday spending.”
