Flybe appoints CTC Aviation for Pilot Recruitment Roadshows

Leading regional airline searching for 370 new Commanders, First Officers and newly qualified pilots to support European growth plans

20th April 2016

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, is searching for 370 new flight deck crew and has appointed CTC Aviation to spearhead its recruitment drive through a series of Direct Entry Pilot Recruitment Roadshows across the UK and Ireland, visiting Belfast on 25th April; Birmingham 26th April; Glasgow 27th April; Manchester 28th April; Aberdeen 29th April; Dublin 02nd May and Edinburgh on 4th May.*

The airline has previously announced it is planning to recruit at least 120 new Commanders and First Officers as well as around 150 newly-qualified pilots during 2016 to support future growth plans.

Director of Flight Operations for Flybe, Colin Rydon, said: “We are travelling the length and breadth of our network so that those looking to join us during this very exciting period of growth can learn more about life at Flybe and the career opportunities we offer. We currently connect Britain, but our ambition is to connect Europe. We look forward to meeting some experienced pilots who have what it takes to join a fast-paced, fast growing airline to support us in that growth.”

Flybe is looking for pilots who will live and breathe ‘the Purple Way’, bringing the company values to life as part of a people-focused culture.

Speaking at CTC Aviation’s Pilot Graduation Ceremony last December, Flybe CEO Saad Hammad highlighted the strong career trajectory opportunities for those now joining the airline: “Our pilots have the opportunity to move from turbo-props to jets, and those joining as newly-qualified First Officers could progress to command within three and a half to four years. There are also opportunities to become trainers or to join our management team.”
