FLYBE’S FOOTBALL FLIGHTS FROM CARDIFF POPULAR OPTION FOR EURO 2016
Leading regional airline offers Welsh fans time-saving travel to watch national team in France with new routes to Bordeaux and Toulouse in June, plus extra Paris flights
16th February 2016
Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, is reporting a second wave of interest in sales for its special new routes to Bordeaux and Toulouse in June as Welsh football fans are told of their success in obtaining one of the much-prized tickets to Euro 2016. These extra flights are in addition to three extra scheduled flights added to the Paris service, departing once more on 15th and twice more on 17th June so fans can catch England v Wales in Lens.
These routes give Welsh fans the opportunity to save time and money, having been conveniently scheduled so that fans can be back in Cardiff without needing to stay overnight in France, vitally important when many hotels are already sold out well in advance or are selling rooms for two, or even three times more than the previous week’s rate.
It will take those travelling with Flybe direct from Cardiff to Bordeaux on 11th June just one hour and forty minutes in the air, negating the need for an alternative journey by road that would otherwise entail a gruelling 24-hour round trip. And on 20th June, Flybe will operate its new route from Cardiff to Toulouse for the Russia fixture, the final game of Group B, returning on the 21st in the early hours of the morning, giving fans a faster and cheaper alternative to a 15 hour rail journey either side of an expensive hotel stay.
