FLYBE ANNOUNCES THREE MORE SUMMER ROUTES FROM SOUTHAMPTON

Leading regional airline boosts 2016 Summer programme with two brand new routes to Biarritz and Toulon and return of peak summer flights to Bastia

14th January 2016

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has announced a further expansion of its 2016 Summer programme from Southampton Airport with the news today (14th January 2016) of two brand new routes to Biarritz and Toulon Hyeres, and the return of flights to Bastia for peak summer. Seats are available for booking now at www.flybe.com from £34.99 including taxes and charges.

Flights will operate three times a week to Biarritz – the ‘elegant’ surfing capital of Europe, and to Toulon Hyeres, on the famed Cote d’Azure that boasts 300 days of sunshine a year. Flights to Bastia return for peak summer travel on Sundays. Bastia is located on the northern tip of the French island of Corsica and is a thriving ferry and cruise ship port. With more than 26 centuries of history and heritage, it is considered one of Europe’s most fashionable ‘must see’ cities.

Today’s news follows Flybe announcing last week the return of its popular sun routes from Southampton to Alicante, Malaga, Palma Mallorca and Faro as well as added frequency on a number of services, including those on many of its French regional services.

These new summer routes provide an additional boost to Flybe’s existing high frequency schedule from Southampton. With lots of value-priced fares on a wide choice of flights for time-saving travel, the airline remains committed to making it as convenient and easy as possible for its customers, whether flying for business or leisure.

Southampton Airport MD, Dave Lees, comments: “The summer season is always a fantastic time for us and it is excellent news that Flybe will be offering two brand new routes to Toulon and Biarritz in France for the summer as well as bringing back flights to Bastia and the popular sun routes to Alicante, Malaga, Palma and Faro. Whether people are looking for a city break, stag or hen weekend, family resort or beach holiday, they can reach it all from their local airport.”

Flybe 2016 Summer schedule from Southampton now offers a total of 28 routes offering passengers a choice of up to 329 flights a week to an extensive range of attractive destinations.
