Manchester and Birmingham are both important hub airports for Flybe from where Flybe maintains its position as the largest scheduled airline measured by the number of air traffic movements, as it does at eight of its other UK airports. Passengers are increasingly taking advantage of travelling via Manchester and/or Birmingham and by-passing congested London airports to make more convenient, seamless onward connections regionally with Flybe and also to a wide selection of long haul destinations through its various codeshare partners, when bookings are made through a travel agent.

From Manchester, Flybe will this winter offer 16 routes, operating more flights to Amsterdam than any of its competitors on this popular route with the tripling of daily flights to six a day. Flybe has also added extra flights to both Paris Charles de Gaulle and Dusseldorf to benefit business travel, and the airline’s routes to Nantes in regional France will operate over Christmas and New Year.

From Birmingham, Flybe will operate 17 routes during winter. Highlights include extra flights on the airline’s popular Amsterdam route which will now operate up to five times a day; extra daily flights to and from Aberdeen, Dusseldorf, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Milan and Stuttgart during peak winter periods; and the return of its popular weekly Saturday ski service to Chambery from 19th December.

Other highlights of the airline’s 2015-16 Winter schedule include the extension of Exeter and Southampton sun routes through to the first week in November to accommodate those travelling over the half term holiday; the return of weekly ski routes from Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Southampton; and routes to regional France operating over Christmas and New Year from Southampton and Manchester.
