Leading regional airline spearheads new FlyShuttle concept with multi-sector ‘hop on-off’ flights between Jersey and Aberdeen via Southampton and Leeds Bradford.

Flybe, Europe’s largest independent regional airline, has today launched a new FlyShuttle service between Jersey and Aberdeen that starts on 26th October, 2014. FlyShuttle offers customers a multi-stop ‘hop-on and off’ service with a choice of up to three flights a day connecting Jersey to Aberdeen from both directions, with passenger pick up and drop offs in Southampton and Leeds Bradford airports. One way fares are from £29.99 including taxes and charges and available for booking now at

Not only does FlyShuttle offer an innovative approach to everyday UK air travel by improving connectivity with a convenient multi-stop service, it also opens up a new three times a day service between Aberdeen and Jersey; offers convenient multi-daily flights to and from Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen: and a year-round thrice daily service between Jersey and Leeds Bradford. To satisfy customer demand, it also re-instates both Flybe’s Southampton to Leeds service and adds a fifth daily flight, the popular 0700 departure, from Jersey to Southampton.

FlyShuttle features a schedule originating for both north and southbound services, with first flights departing Aberdeen and Jersey at 0700. Customers can purchase tickets either for direct connections between any of the four airports, or stay on board whilst passengers embark and disembark at airports on the way to their final destination.

Paul Simmons, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer said:

“FlyShuttle is a convenient and affordable concept for the regional marketplace that gives customers extra choice and additional connectivity for everyday air travel.

“Today's announcement is another significant landmark in the re-birth of Flybe. Designed to be used as a ‘shuttle bus service in the sky’ all the way between Jersey in the south and Aberdeen in the north, we are again showing that we are ‘the fastest way from A to Flybe’, faster than road or rail – and certainly more affordable.”

“By enhancing the number of routes, connections and frequencies we already operate, FlyShuttle is the perfect progression. It’s a product that sets us apart and we are genuinely excited to be shaping the future of regional air travel.”

Operated by Flybe’s 78-seat Bombardier Q400 turboprop aircraft, the total journey time between Jersey and Aberdeen will be four and a quarter hours. This includes the brief drop-off and pick-up times when through-passengers and their luggage can stay on board. The one exception to this being on the initial northbound flight from Jersey when passengers and their luggage will need to disembark in Southampton to clear UK customs as their first entry point into the country.
