Can they do it? Yes, they can! A Mexican Mariachi band visiting Exeter receives a last minute call to play at another gig in Stornoway way up in the north of Scotland the following day!

How do they travel from one end of the country to the other in just a few hours?

No problem - they can do it with Flybe - The fastest way from A to Flybe!

As the story unfolds and the journey - and the fun – begins, thousands follow their trip north on social media sites.
Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, provides convenient, time-saving travel for both business and leisure customers with a wide choice of onward connections available from many of its key UK airports. Its USP is being  faster than road and rail – The fastest way from A to Flybe.

This morning Friday May 16th 2014) at 0600, a Mexican Mariachi band set off from Exeter to prove just how slick such connections can work – and how quick and easy it is to fly from one end of the UK to the other in less than a day with Flybe. Taking the first early morning flight to Manchester, they connected seamlessly through to Glasgow and then onward to Stornoway with Flybe’s franchise partner, Loganair, in the process deciding to make it a really fun-filled journey for everyone.

The experience actively involved passengers and other members of the travelling public in Mexiacn waves, dance auditions, ‘flashmob-style’ Mexican Hat dancing and a final colourful face-off between traditional Scottish dancers and pipers when they crossed the border before finally arriving for an energetic and joyous Ceilidh on their afternoon arrival in Stornoway.

The band’s experience will be seeded across Flybe’s social media channels as the fun unfolds well as on airport websites with tens of thousands of people expected to follow the fun.  A video of the day will be uploaded to the web at the end of May with seeding also across YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and The Viral Ad Network.
