Flybe's 2014 summer flights take off on eve of major brand refresh

Europe’s largest regional airline turns up the heat with nine new routes and total choice of over 2600 flights a week

On the eve of its major brand refresh on Monday, Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline this Sunday (March 30th) starts operating its 2014 Summer Schedule with a choice of 126 routes across the UK and Europe. These include nine new routes including eight from Birmingham namely to Newquay, Alicante, Bordeaux, Cologne, Florence, Palma Mallorca, Porto and Toulouse; a brand new service between London Southend and Newquay; increased capacity and extra flights on other key business and leisure services at peak times; plus 44 convenient routes to the sunshine from regions across the UK.

The airline will also continue to operate its popular daily services between Newquay and London Gatwick through to the end of the summer: and also continue to offer one of the most comprehensive schedules to and from regional France with 29 routes offering a choice of up to 162 flights a week.

Customers can also take advantage of the growing number of seamless onward connections with Flybe via its regional hubs in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and Southampton. Cruise via Southampton for easy access to the Channel Islands and regional France; zip through Birmingham for one-stop service to attractive continental destinations such as Porto, Cologne and Florence; or take a one stop hop through Glasgow to explore the Scottish Highlands. Manchester is Flybe’s premier gateway to all the UK regions, from Devon and Cornwall, to Norfolk, Northern Ireland and almost everywhere in between. Or there’s the opportunity to go even farther afield with one of Flybe’s codeshare partners — Etihad, Air France and KLM — right from your local airport. This is the route that many customers are now taking advantage of, thereby avoiding the hassle and expense of trudging to Heathrow or Gatwick for long haul connections.
