The start of Flybe's winter route to Geneva is the second international service it now offers from Inverness, it being in addition to the airline's popular daily year-round flights to Amsterdam Schiphol airport.

Inverness Airport Manager, Graeme Bell, adds:"This is an important new international route from Inverness as it provides direct access to one of Europe's most important ski destinations. As well as being a popular destination in its own right, home to world class visitor attractions, Geneva is also the gateway to some of the best ski slopes in the Alps.

"Early bookings have been very encouraging and we are confident the new route will prove popular with Highland holidaymakers.

"We are also pleased that Flybe has confirmed it will operate all of its planned services from Inverness next summer. With flights to Amsterdam, Belfast City, Birmingham, Jersey and Manchester, Flybe will continue to provide a wide range of services from Inverness, benefitting business and tourism in the Highlands."
