Flybe Highlights Hot Half Term Trend

14 October 2013

With extra capacity added on two key sun routes to satisfy customer demand and the operation of 2,810 flights over the weeklong period starting on October 25th, Flybe - Europe’s largest regional independent airline - is gearing up for a busy time when schools break for half term.

Included amongst some of its busiest routes are those to and from Flybe’s Manchester hub and London Gatwick with many passengers taking advantage of the convenience of having a wide choice of affordable regional flights from their doorstep with Flybe, to then travel on to long haul destinations such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Orlando and Vancouver.  Travellers are increasingly booking travel on to worldwide destinations with Flybe’s codeshare partners, and appreciating the added convenience of their travel agents booking connecting flights with the hundreds of interline partners to whom Flybe is linked, enjoying seamless ‘door to door travel’ from their local airport.

Due to customer demand, summer scheduled weekend flights on Flybe’s popular sun routes from Exeter and Southampton to Alicante and Malaga have also been extended through the half term weekend to accommodate families wanting to head to the sun.

Simon Lilley, Flybe’s Director of Marketing comments:“The travel trends we are noticing over this half term indicate that families wanting affordable breaks both regionally and farther afield are certainly taking the opportunity to do so this year, and particularly also taking advantage of the convenient connections we can offer for onward travel.”
