Mark joins Connect Airways from his previous role as Executive Vice President - Customer, Virgin Atlantic.
Since February 2017, Mark has successfully led the strategy, creation and delivery of the world famous Virgin Atlantic customer experience. In his role, Mark was instrumental in putting Customer at the heart of Virgin Atlantic’s goal to be the most loved travel company.
Before his appointment, Mark was Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Virgin Holidays where in less than three years, he developed a high performing team that achieved record people engagement scores and operating profits with strong customer advocacy. He has over 25 years of senior management experience in retail and travel.
In his spare time, Mark is a qualified white water kayak coach and keen horse rider and lives in Kingston upon Thames.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language & Literature from the University of Southampton and studied with TIAS Business School in the Netherlands for a Masters in Retail Management.
Chief Financial Officer - appointed 8th July 2019
Graeme graduated Dublin Business School with a First Class Honours in Accounting & Finance and then completed his Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland training with Deloitte & Touche in Dublin. He then spent 5 years with Morgan Stanley in London in the Financial Control Department, looking after the main broker dealer in London. Following this he returned to Ireland to work for Quinn Group and spent ten years with them in a variety of roles including General Manager Quinn Plastics, Financial Controller Quinn Insurance, Group Treasurer and finally Group Financial Controller before joining Stobart Air as CFO in May 2015. Graeme was appointed Managing Director, Stobart Air in January 2017.
Chief Commercial Officer- appointed 2nd January 2018
Roy has overall responsibility for heading up the airline’s commercial activities with its Revenue Management, Network, Scheduling, Ancillary, Sales, Marketing, e-commerce, Customer Care and Loyalty teams all reporting to him. Roy possesses a wealth of commercial airline experience gained from over 30 years in the industry having previously held various senior management roles with carriers that have included bmi, Gulf Air and Etihad. He joined Flybe in January 2018 from Air Seychelles where he was Chief Executive Officer.
Chief Technical Officer- appointed 15th October 2018
Rob is responsible for overseeing the performance of our Maintenance & Engineering Department and our MRO activities. He joined Flybe from the Bristow Group where he was Director, Global Maintenance & Chief Technical Officer. Whilst there, Rob was responsible for leading and co-ordinating the worldwide maintenance teams within Bristow Helicopters. Rob has a wealth of experience in aviation, having worked his way up through the British Airways ranks over a 30-year period, starting as an avionic apprentice and eventually becoming Director and GM at BA Avionic Engineering in South Wales.
General Counsel & Company Secretary – appointed 4th January 2016
Kate joined Flybe from London Heathrow Airport Holdings, formerly known as BAA, where she was Head of Legal for Operations, Corporate and Litigation. Kate trained in the City with Linklaters, qualifying into the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department and then worked for two further London firms before moving in-house. She has a wealth of legal experience which includes corporate governance, regulatory and competition law (including health, safety and the environment), commercial dispute resolution, procurement and contracts, employment law and airport security. Kate has a BA (Hons) in Law from Durham University.
