If you wish to bring your own car, there are excellent short and long stay parking facilities available at reasonable prices. All car parks are situated within easy walking distance of the departure areas.
Several city, inter-city and long distance bus routes run from the airport to central Madrid, nearby towns and large cities in the rest of Spain, with routes and prices to suit every kind of passenger. There is also a modern suburban train line that connects Terminal T4 with several tourist locations in Madrid, including Chamartin, Nuevos Ministerios, Atocha and Principe PÃo, with an estimated travel time to Chamartin of just 11 minutes.
All terminals have signposted official taxi ranks outside arrivals areas and all airport taxi fares include a supplement of â¬5.50. Official Madrid taxis are white cars with a red stripe and the Madrid City Council coat-of-arms on the doors.
A number of car hire companies including Avis operate in the airport. If you are planning to explore the city (or beyond) this may be a good option. We recommend booking in advance.
