Getting to Exeter by public transport
Exeter airport has good public transport links to the city, with a direct bus route and dedicated taxi operator in Apple Central Taxis. From the city’s Bus & Coach Station it’s also easy to reach various destinations across the UK, via a National Express coach.
The Service 56A and 56B bus routes run to Exeter directly from the airport, terminating at the city’s Bus & Coach Station. The journey to the city is approximately 11 miles, but remember to plan your journey in advance as traffic can affect journey times, especially during the tourist season. Digby & Sowton rail station is just 5 miles from Exeter airport, with Exeter St Davids and Exeter Central rail stations a 6 mile distance; the latter two being connected to London. A taxi can be taken between airport and station. Please check the timetable prior to making your journey.

National Express coaches run from the city’s Bus & Coach Station if travelling further afield than Exeter. This can be reached via a local bus service direct from the airport, or via a dedicated taxi service.
Getting to Exeter by car
Travelling to Exeter airport from the city takes around 15 minutes, although this is traffic dependent. It is recommended to plan your journey in advance and take the M5 for the quickest route.
