Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, is today (16th March 2015) celebrating the beginning of its new route from the Isle of Man with the inaugural flight of its daily service to London Stansted Airport. With effect from the start of the summer schedule on 29th March, flights will operate three times a day.
Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Simmons, said: "This is an important day for Flybe as we mark the start of our new multiple frequency year-round route to London Stansted from the Isle of Man. We’re committed to bolstering regional connectivity across the UK and expanding our route offer to our customers. This will bring to four the number of routes we will be operating for summer to and from the Isle of Man and we are naturally delighted to be extending further the Flybe presence.
“We look forward to welcoming on board all our new passengers and especially to those who are seeking easy access to Hertfordshire, Essex and London, be it for business or leisure."
Welcoming Flybe’s inaugural service from London Stansted Airport, the Isle of Man’s Director of Ports, Ann Reynold, commented: “This is another great opportunity from Flybe for boosting inbound tourism to the Isle of Man, whilst giving more choice to residents on getting to London and the local region.”
Flybe will operate a choice of up to 36 flights a week to and from the Isle of Man to London Stansted from the end of March with one way fares £29.99 including taxes and charges available for booking at www.flybe.com.
