The Christmas market at Gendarmenmarkt is a Berlin institution offering traditional gifts and delicious festive food. Watch belt makers, wood carvers and tailors creating their wares. The Alexanderplatz market is also a family favourite complete with rides and an ice rink.

The largest authentic German Christmas market outside of Germany comes to Birmingham, bringing with it a Victorian carousel and over 100 stalls selling handcrafted gifts. With the pretzels, bratwurst and the gluhwein flowing, this market is one of the liveliest and most popular around.
