Getting to Amsterdam Airport

You have several options for getting to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. You can easily get a taxi from elsewhere in the city and this is probably the most convenient option depending on where you live. Many taxi operators in Amsterdam offer discounts for airport journeys too.

There is a train station at the airport, so getting a train is another option and will take you right to the main terminal building.

There is a lot of long-term and short-term parking space at the airport if you prefer to drive and keep your car there while you’re away.

There are also bus services that run throughout the city to the airport, including from the city centre.  

Transport Options from London City Airport

Although it’s not as large or as well-known as Heathrow, it’s easier in a lot of ways to get from London City Airport to the city centre, given that it’s just 6 miles away.

If you want to get a Tube, then it’s very easy to do this since the airport has dedicated stations. There are also plenty of taxis and bus services available right outside the airport.

Best time of the year to visit London

London is busy at pretty much any time of the year, but the peak summer months in July, August and September get especially busy. You do benefit from the best weather at this time of year, but you can also expect to pay more for travel and accommodation.
