Getting to Aberdeen Airport

It’s easy to get to Aberdeen Airport by any means of transport.

If you’re travelling by car, either from with Aberdeen or elsewhere in the UK then you can get to it via the A96.  

You can also get a coach to Guild Street bus station in central Aberdeen. From there you can easily get a bus to Aberdeen airport, which run regularly throughout the day.

If you want to go by train then you’ll need to go to Dyce, which is around 2 miles away from the airport. It’s very easy to get a taxi from there.

Transport Options from Jersey Airport

There are multiple transport options available from Jersey Airport.

There is a public taxi rank outside of the arrivals terminal where you can get a taxi to pretty much anywhere on the island. You can pre-book a taxi if you prefer, with pre-booked cabs being located behind the arrivals car park. Prices of taxis vary depending on the time and day.

There is a regular bus service that runs from the airport to the major locations on the island, including the capital – St Helier. It takes roughly 30 minutes to complete the journey.

Elizabeth Castle

Elizabeth Castle is a must-see when visiting Jersey and is a great place to learn about the island’s heritage. It’s a fantastic way to spend the day and can be easily accessed via the castle ferry or on foot when the tide is low. Elizabeth Castle is open every day from 10:00 to 5:30.

Jersey Zoo

A trip to Jersey wouldn’t be complete without visiting the zoo. Jersey Zoo has an incredible array of animals that includes bears, bats, gorillas, lemurs, snakes and tortoises. There are also some great animal experiences such as Bird Encounter, Meet the Bears, Keeper for a Day and Meet the Apes.

Jersey Museum

If you want to learn about Jersey’s long and rich history, then Jersey Museum is the perfect place to do it. There are some fascinating pieces and exhibits and the museum itself is set in a beautiful Georgian property. It’s open throughout the year except from the 24th-26th December and on New Year’s Eve.

Jersey War Tunnels

The Jersey War Tunnels have a fascinating history. They were built during World War II, when labourers were made to dig tunnels into the hills in order to help troops withstand Allied attacks. Visiting the tunnels today is a sobering experience and gives you a fascinating glimpse into the history of the island.

Best time of the year to visit Jersey

If you want to visit Jersey when the weather is at its best, then the months from May until October would be the best time. If you’re looking to sunbathe then you’ll want to visit during the peak summer months in July and August. You can still enjoy great weather during spring too if you’d rather avoid the most intense heat.

All the major attractions on the island are available throughout the year but some are dependent on good weather to enjoy so it’s worth bearing that in mind when booking your trip.
