Humber Bridge

Once the longest suspension bridge in the world, Humber Bridge is a great place to visit, especially during the summer. In addition to walking across the bridge itself, you can also explore Hessle Foreshore and get an ice cream at one of the many parlours nearby.

Rock Up

Rock Up is a great place to visit if you’re with your family, although there are climbs there suited only to adults too. There are 26 different climbs, for all ages and skill levels and there’s also a soft play area if you have very small children.

Streetlife Museum

If you’re looking for a way to spend an afternoon without breaking the bank, then the Streetlife Museum of Transport is a great way to do it. Admission is free and it’s a great place to learn about the past in unique way, including walking down a 1940s high street and boarding a traditional tram.

East Park

There’s plenty to see and do at East Park. In addition to an adventure playground, there’s also a boating lake and café where you can get ice cream. There’s also plenty of animals to see there, including ostriches, emus, peacocks and wallabies. East park would be a perfect place to visit if you’re going to Humberside with your family.

If you want the highest chance of good weather, then the best time to visit Humberside would be from mid-June to mid-September.

If you’d rather avoid the hottest weather, then spring would be another good time to visit. There’s no guarantee of good weather of course, even during the peak summer months since the weather in the UK is unpredictable at the best of times.

Autumn can be a good time to visit Humberside too although you’re more likely to get rain at this time of year.
