Airport Name: Dublin Airport (DUB)
Location: The airport is located 10km to the north of Dublin’s city centre.
Contact Information: Dublin Airport, Co. Dublin, Ireland. Telephone: +353 (0)1 814 1111.
The airport is a major international hub, one of the busiest in Europe and as such there are a number of options for your journey to and from the airport.
If you wish to bring your own car, there are plenty of Dublin Airport parking options. The hub offers secure 24-hour parking in its 3,600 short-term and 14,400 long-term spaces. Spaces can be booked in advance or paid for on the day of arrival.
The largest airport in Ireland, it boasts excellent transport links. The airport is served by more than 1,000 coaches and buses daily. From pick-up points at Terminals 1 and 2, you can reach many areas in and around Dublin, as well as the majority of big towns and cities across Ireland.
Unfortunately, there is no direct rail link, as yet, to the airport. However, quick and easy taxi and bus services are available to the majority of train stations throughout the Dublin area. Dublin Bus serves Heuston and Connolly rail stations from where passengers can make onward connections to the city and beyond.
Passengers arriving by taxi will arrive directly outside either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.
Passengers travelling from the airport are able to hail a taxi from the same designated taxi ranks immediately outside Terminals 1 and 2. A taxi dispatcher is available at both taxi ranks if you require any further information or assistance.
There is also the option of hiring a car and if you're planning to explore further afield, this may be preferable. You can either rent a car on arrival or prior to travel. Car rental firms based at the airport include Hertz, Budget, Avis, Europcar, Dooley, Thrifty, Enterprise and Sixt.
