Getting to Aberdeen by public transport
The airport has excellent public transport links via bus and taxi to the city, making it easy to reach from Aberdeen itself as well as many destinations across the UK.
Dedicated buses run from between Aberdeen airport and the city centre. National bus routes visit various destinations around the UK, although these terminate at the city’s main bus station – from there a dedicated airport bus can be taken to your destination. Although the distance between airport and city is only 7 miles, traffic can affect journey times so please plan your trip well in advance, especially if travelling at peak times. The airport is approximately 2 miles from Dyce rail station. Taxis and buses are available, and Dyce rail station is also connected to the main rail station close to Aberdeen city centre, with a journey between the two taking around 10 minutes. Please check the timetable before you travel.

National Express coaches run from Aberdeen’s main bus station in the city. A local bus service or taxi can be picked up from the airport running directly to the city’s bus station. Getting to Aberdeen by car
The journey by car to Aberdeen city centre takes around 30 minutes. Please plan in advance as time taken is very much traffic dependent. Take the A96 for the quickest journey.
