Land a big regional airline job….

Without sacrificing your lifestyle! All yours when you land a better job with us:

• Land the opportunity of a better salary
• Land the opportunity of somewhere local to live
• Land the opportunity of a job at any of our 12 UK bases

Flybe is one of the UK’s leading low cost airlines and following the acquisition of BA Connect is now Europe’s No. 1 regional low cost airline. We offer real job security and choice after 27 years of continuous operation and have now spread our operation over 12 UK bases. Over the last 2 years we have invested over £1.2 billion into creating a young and environmentally friendly fleet. Over the next 2 years we shall replace the Embraer 145 and BAe 146 aircraft to create an efficient Embraer 195 and Bombardier Q400 fleet of aircraft.

This year we shall be operating over 145 routes across 12 countries with 62 aircraft – carrying up to 9 million passengers. This rapid growth means that we are seeking both Direct Entry Captains and Experienced First Officers in addition to our ongoing requirement for First Officers. We also offer the potential for Part Time Working depending upon experience and circumstances.

Line Training Captains and TRE(S)/TRI(S)

The pay uplift for Line Training Captains and TRE/TRIs is substantial and identical across the Q400 and E195 fleets. We have a limited requirement for pilots with existing TRE and/or TRI qualifications. Normally a TRE/I candidate would join as a Captain before taking up training duties.

Direct Entry Captains

Pilots who have at least 2,500 hours total and at least 500 hours command experience on a suitable type may be considered for Direct Entry Command. Broadly speaking, a suitable type is a public transport aircraft with a MTOM greater than 10 tonnes.

First Officer

If you are in possession of a JAR or UK issue Frozen or Full ATPL but your experience level does not meet the level required for command you may be considered for a First Officer position. Experienced First Officers may be employed with the opportunity of an early assessment of command potential subject to Company command assessment procedures.

Other requirements

In addition to holding a valid UK CAA or JAR licence and medical on application First Officer candidates should also have completed a Multi Crew Co-operation course. All applicants must speak fluent English and where relevant have the right to live and work in the UK. Applicants for the Channel Islands ie Jersey and Guernsey must have the relevant residential qualifications.

Unqualified Pilots

Flybe offers a variety of schemes to assist individuals in obtaining a licence at a recognised Flight Training Organisation. Please see pilot sponsorship.
