At London Heathrow, the UK’s largest international airport, you’ll find frequent flights from London to Scotland with Flybe.
Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has today announced (20th December 2016) that it is heading to London Heathrow for the first time next year to connect the UK’s largest international airport with Scotland, offering a choice of more than 40 scheduled flights a week from Aberdeen and Edinburgh. The new routes complement Flybe’s well-established London City flights from the two Scottish airports.
Flybe will be using Heathrow’s Terminal 2 and will offer ‘One Stop to the World’ connectivity to its codeshare and interline partners. Flights have been conveniently timed for both business and leisure travel and fares are from £39.99 one way including taxes and charges.
This route expansion means that, with effect from 26th March 2017, Flybe will offer up to 18 flights a day between London and Edinburgh, and 10 between London and Aberdeen.

Heathrow Airport is located 15 miles west of central London and is easily accessible from the M4 and M25 motorways. Average driving time from central London is around one hour, but journey time varies significantly depending on traffic conditions. If you’re driving, it’s wise to give yourself plenty of time to get to the airport before your Flybe flight from Heathrow.

Exit the M4 at junction 4, or the M25 at junction 15, and follow the signs for Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3.

For longer drop-offs, picking up passengers, and short trips, Heathrow’s Short Stay car parking is ideal. Long Stay parking is better suited for passengers taking longer trips and includes regular shuttle bus transfers to each of the terminals.

All forecourts are drop-off only – just follow the signs for departures and use the outside lane.
Using London’s excellent public transport system is one of the easiest ways to reach London Heathrow.
There are two train services to and from London Heathrow. The Heathrow Express runs between London Heathrow and London Paddington every 15 minutes, with a journey time of 15 minutes. Alternatively, the Heathrow Connect service also runs from Heathrow to London Paddington, but stops at a number of stations throughout west London. Departures are around every 30 minutes, with a journey time of up to 50 minutes.
The Piccadilly Line runs from Heathrow and journey time by Tube into central London is under an hour. Services run approximately every 10 minutes during off-peak hours, and more frequently during peak times.
London Heathrow has three London Underground stations – one for Terminals 2 & 3, one at Terminal 4 and one at Terminal 5. All stations are in Travelcard Zone 6.
Buses and coaches
Travelling by bus to London Heathrow is a low-cost and easy way to travel to the airport before your Flybe flight. Transport for London operates an extensive local bus service from areas of west London to Heathrow, while National Express and a number of other coach operators run regional coach services to Heathrow.

Travel to London Heathrow around the clock with London's famous black taxis, or book a fixed-price journey using a private hire car via operators such as Minicabit, Green Tomato Cars or EcoExpress Airport Cars. Taxis stop at the taxi ranks outside each Heathrow terminal. All taxis operating from London Heathrow have wheelchair access.
