Parking

If you are flying from Geneva and wish to take your own car, there's plenty of parking so there is no need to pre-book. The airport's website also has a 'car park calculator' so you can find out how much you'll have to pay in advance.

Public Transport

The airport is connected by train to the centre of Geneva. Just one ticket is needed to travel by train, bus or boat in the city so there are plenty of options available for your onward journey. The airport's railway station can be accessed from the Check-in and Arrival levels and a journey to Geneva-Cornavin (the city centre station) takes just six minutes, with regular trains running throughout the day. If you are taking one of our cheap flights to Geneva for a ski holiday in either Switzerland or France, you may need to travel to your chosen resort from Geneva-Cornavin.

Taxis

There are also dedicated taxi ranks at the airport and there is no need to book in advance as there are always plenty available. A typical taxi into Geneva from the airport will cost around 30 to 35 Swiss Francs.

If you are flying to Geneva and would like to hire a car in order to explore this picturesque region, there are a number of car hire companies which have offices at the airport. You can hire a car in either the Swiss sector or the French sector, depending on your needs, but if you hire from one sector and return it to the other, you may be charged a fee. There is no need to book prior to travel but if you make arrangements in advance, you could save money.
