Assistance dogs: Taking your assistance dog on international flights

We are working towards obtaining approval to carry recognised assistance dogs on all of our international flights. We can currently accept assistance dogs on international routes from the following airports:
  • Birmingham
  • Exeter
  • Manchester
  • Newcastle
  • Southampton

Please contact us if you wish to travel on an international flight with a recognised assistance dog so that we can make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.

Other dogs and cats

Flybe restricts the carriage of all other cats and dogs as cargo only, both accompanied and unaccompanied. The animals will be carried in the holds of the aircraft. All queries should be referred to Air Logistics Group on +44 (0) 1332 819204 or via e-mail: flybe@airlogistics.co.uk

Loganair

Pets are not accepted for travel in the cabin with the exception of assistance dogs. Both cats and dogs can be carried in the hold on Loganair operated aircraft as long they are over 12 weeks old.  They must be carried in suitably sized containers.

Loganair will not accept rodents (i.e., guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, etc.) rabbits, chickens, reptiles (i.e., snakes, turtles, etc.) or fish as carry-on or checked in baggage. These items may be carried as cargo in suitable containers, please contact our Cargo agents for advice at the airport of departure.
