The additional flights have been scheduled to satisfy public demand and they give leisure travellers an even greater choice of convenient affordable flights from Southampton and we look forward to welcoming many new passengers on board.”

Situated conveniently between Lyon and Limoges, Clermont-Ferrand makes for a perfect two-centre French holiday destination. It is regarded not only as the gateway to the Massif Centrale, with its majestic, volcanic mountain chain but also as the gastronomic capital of central France with dozens of Michelin-starred restaurants.

Adds Dave Lees, Southampton Airport MD: “This increase in frequency highlights the importance of our airport as being the gateway to regional France from the South of England.”

Flybe’s summer programme from Southampton offers a total of 29 routes with a choice of up to 320 flights a week.
