Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, is bringing back its popular ‘Tax Rebate’ promotion this weekend, paying the Government’s Air Passenger Duty (APD) departure tax on behalf of customers making new online bookings on 108 routes from Friday 6th September through to Tuesday 10th September and effective for travel between 28th September and 14th December 2013.*
This limited time seat sale that slashes return fares on UK domestic fares by £26 (£13 each way) and discounts European return flights by £13, is also designed to reinforce Flybe’s ongoing commitment to highlighting the unfairness of APD and the impact that the government’s discriminatory UK departure tax is having on its domestic passengers.
Simon Lilley, Flybe’s Director of Marketing comments: “Many of our passengers need to travel within the UK for business; others choose to fly rather than use any other method of transport when visiting friends and family or simply have no other affordable and convenient travel option. Our first APD ‘Tax Rebate’ promotion back in the Spring was extremely popular and so, in response to customer demand and in line with our continued commitment to offer ‘Great Prices for Great Britain’, we are repeating the offer for bookings made this weekend allowing passengers to fly from as little as £12.99.”
