Flybe Announces New Route From Ireland West Airport Knock to Birmingham to Replace Lost Service

Flybe today announced it is to operate a new service from Ireland West Airport Knock to Birmingham. Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport, Michael Ring TD was at the airport to celebrate the announcement of the new service today. Flights are now on sale at www.flybe.com from £39.99 (€45.00) one way including taxes and charges

From October 27th, Flybe will operate four weekly flights from Ireland West Knock to Birmingham. This expansion of Flybe services is good news for the West of Ireland and is Flybe's third new service from the airport following the continued success of their services to Manchester and Edinburgh.

Commenting on the announcement, Flybe’s Head of PR, Niall Duffy said, “Flybe is absolutely delighted to launch this new route to Birmingham at the start of the 2013-14 winter season. Given that we are already the biggest airline at Birmingham airport, when we learnt of the opportunity to offer the route it was an obvious and natural extension to our network. We look forward to welcoming thousands of new passengers onto the service and are pleased to be able to step into the breach.”
