Summer officially arrives this Easter weekend as Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, takes to the skies with the start of its 2013 Summer schedule that offers a total of up to 3,031 flights a week on 148 routes. These include five which are brand new namely Exeter and Southampton to Barcelona, Birmingham to Lyon, Glasgow to Shannon, and Manchester to Waterford. In addition, there are returning services between Southampton and the Isle of Man, and Exeter to Nice plus extra frequency on seven popular sea and sun destinations from Exeter, Manchester, Cardiff and Southampton.
Guernsey passengers will also be celebrating the start of the island’s only jet service with one of the airline’s brand new 88-seat Embraer 175 aircraft operating the popular London Gatwick route.
Highlights of Flybe’s Summer 2013 Schedule
148 routes offering total choice of up to 3,031 flights a week, including 5 brand new routes:
Southampton – Barcelona 2 x weekly
Exeter – Barcelona 2 x weekly
Glasgow – Shannon 3 x weekly from May 1
Manchester – Waterford 4 x weekly from May 22
Birmingham – Lyon weekdays from May 1

Increased frequency on 6 popular sea and sun routes added for summer:
Exeter – Alicante (to 5 flights per week): Faro (up to 3 flights p/w): Malaga (up to 5 flights p/w): Palma Mallorca (to 3 flights p/w)
Manchester – Newquay (up to 7 flights p/w)
Jersey – Cardiff (up to 5 flights p/w)
Southampton - Alicante (up to 7 flights p/w); Faro (up 5 days p/w plus 2 flights on Sats); Nice (up to 5 flights p/w) and Palma Mallorca (up to 6 flights p/w)
New jet service between London Gatwick and Guernsey with choice of up to 68 flights a week
Extra Saturday flights from Manchester to Edinburgh and Glasgow
It also allows customers the opportunity to benefit from the large number of regional point to point connections available on the extended Flybe network which offers improved connectivity and reduced minimum connecting times through our main airport hubs. Flybe’s codeshare partners - Air France, British Airways, Etihad and KLM, also open up the opportunity for seamless onward international travel that extends even further across Europe and the rest of the world.
