Flybe extends 'free extras' offer for Channel Island passengers

Leading regional airline extends special travel offer on key London Gatwick service for another two weeks

Free 20kg bag allowance, free advanced pre-assigned seating and no transaction fees….such has proved the response to Flybe’s ‘Free Extras’ offer on  its popular frequent services between Guernsey and Jersey and London Gatwick Airport that Europe’s largest regional airline has today extended this promotion to all online bookings made through to midnight on Friday December 16th. The offer applies for travel up to and including 31st March 2012.

The ‘Free Extras’ offer was launched last month to highlight Flybe having received consecutive Gold Awards from London Gatwick Airport for being its most punctual airline. This is a particular achievement as the airline carries more domestic passengers from the airport than any other and, from the Channel Islands alone, has flown nearly seven million passengers to this key destination since its introduced the route from Guernsey in 1993. The route provides convenient links not only to London and South East England but also to the rest of the world. With many seamless connections through Flybe’s many interline partners.

Simon Lilley, Flybe’s Director of Marketing comments: “The uptake by our Channel Island passengers to the recently launched ‘Free Extras’ promotion has clearly shown they appreciate that Flybe is committed to championing the local communities it serves. This is why we have decided to extend our money-saving offer that is an additional bonus to passengers having the peace of mind that they are also flying with the most punctual airline flying between the Channel Islands and London Gatwick Airport,
