Flybe flies in stars from sport, screen and stage for annual charity cricket match

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline and the UK’s Number One Domestic carrier, is this weekend flying in a star-studded cast from sport, screen and stage to Guernsey for the Lord Taverners’ Annual Charity Cricket Match being played on Sunday July 17th for the first time on the island of Herm. The charity provides young people, especially those with special needs, an opportunity to participate in sport.

Flying in on Flybe’s popular London Gatwick*, Southampton and Exeter services to take part in the celebrity line up will be, amongst others,  Lord's Taverners’ President, Chris Tarrant, Mike Gatting, former England captain, two members of the Mitchell clan from Eastenders, Steve MacFadden (Phil Mitchell) and Perry Fennick (Billy Mitchell), and actor Struan Rodger of Starwars’ fame.

Flybe’s Director of Marketing, Simon Lilley, comments:  “Flybe is always pleased to support the communities in which we operate and we know how much extraordinary effort is put into the annual Lords Taverners’ cricket match in raising funds for their most worthy charity.
