FLYBE IS TOPS FOR LONDON GATWICK COMMUTERS

Leading regional airline confirms record punctuality figures on key Channel Islands' services

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline and the UK’s Number One Domestic airline, is pleased to share above-average punctuality figures for October 2010 on its key services between Guernsey and Jersey to London Gatwick which – at 97% and 93% respectively -  comfortably outperform any competitor on these popular routes.

Punctuality figures for October 2010 recently released by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) confirm Flybe as the most on-time airline servicing these crucial routes on which it operates up to 336 flights between London Gatwick and Guernsey a month and up to 390 to and from Jersey (based on flights scheduled for July 2011).

Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer, Flybe said, ‘‘Flybe continues to offer the most punctual flights from the Channel Islands to London and we’re consistently outperforming any competition.

“With London such a key destination for both business and leisure travellers and passengers’ time at a premium, we realise the importance of providing customers with an affordable service that, weather dependent, they can rely. The statistics speak for themselves.”
