2009 Summer Schedule taking off with up to 50% off seat sale

Leading regional airline celebrates with up to 50% off selected summer routes

Flybe, Europe's largest and most successful regional airline, will start operating its 2009 Summer schedule on Sunday 29th which sees the airline flying 187 summer routes over the coming summer season that includes 12 new routes. To celebrate its new programme taking to the skies, Flybe is offering discounts of up to 50% on some of its best UK and European destinations on selected flights booked this weekend.. 

With 8% more seats on sale than last year, Flybe is giving 6.5 million passengers the freedom to enjoy the summer with an extensive timetable that includes the reintroduction of a wide choice of popular summer sea and sun destinations including France, Portugal, Spain and Croatia. 

Flybe’s summer programme also includes new routes from London Gatwick to Newquay; Dundee, Humberside, Inverness, the Isle of Man, London Luton and Manston to Jersey; and a new Aberdeen to Cardiff, and Isle of Man/Befast/Blackpool services operated by Flybe’s franchise partner, Loganair

Many of Flybe’s summer routes have been scheduled to attract those looking for short and weekend breaks and passengers remain committed to enjoying a summer break by seeking out the most affordable travel bargains despite the challenging economic times. 

Operating some 430 flights a week during the summer period, Flybe’s nine London Gatwick routes have already seen a 6% increase in sales over Summer 08 with strong connecting sales also indicative that overseas’ tourists are taking advantage of the favourable exchange rate by choosing to visit UK regions over the summer.

Flybe’s full summer schedule is available for booking at with flights operating from today through 24th October 2009 with fares from £21.99 one way including taxes and charges, with bookings made through April also able to take advantage of Flybe’s popular free Redundancy Cover Insurance offer.
