Britain’s leading regional airline reports strong sales boosted by through-booking travel options to Arizona, Azerbaijan and Abuja!
Flybe, Europe’s largest and most successful regional airline, reports seat sales have far exceeded expectations on the only non-stop route available between Newquay – London Gatwick that takes off on February 15th. Early indications from Flybe HQ are that the tickets have sold well and load factors are likely to be comfortably ahead of Flybe averages.
Sales are being boosted by significant numbers of globetrotting passengers taking advantage of Flybe’s Interline agreements with no less than 142 other airlines worldwide that enables them to book tickets in one convenient transaction right through from Newquay to international destinations as far afield as Panama City, Azerbaijan, Abuja, Copenhagen and Arizona, something they cannot do with any other carrier serving the South West.
Customers continue to snap up tickets and book early to ensure they receive the very best value for money fares available. In keeping Britain on the move during these challenging economic times, Flybe has a number of ‘not to be missed’ offers that include Just Pay Taxes and Charges fares, available for booking only till February 6th for travel between 15th February and 31st March, subject to availability; free VIP access to the airline’s dedicated Executive Lounge at London Gatwick's South Terminal and Double Rewards4All points.
In addition, Flybe has extended its offer of free Redundancy Cancellation Insurance cover on all flights booked throughout February due to popular demand. The innovative Book with Confidence offer, that has since been copied by a number of other leading holiday companies, means that customers can continue to book holidays for travel anytime before October 24th, and know they will be covered automatically, at no cost to themselves, if they, or anyone else in their party, are made redundant and need to cancel their bookings.
Flybe’s multi-frequency Newquay to London Gatwick schedule is particularly attractive for those looking for convenient day return travel either for business or leisure that is certainly driving sales over the Valentine’s Day launch weekend as being an affordable yet romantically impressive Valentine’s day-trip treat to London!
Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer comments: “We’re absolutely delighted at the enthusiastic uptake from passengers on this new route with the Cornish travelling public has reacted well to the only direct route from London. There is also a noticeable take-up of the many onward connections Flybe is able to offer as a result of the numerous Interline agreements we have with other leading airlines.
“We realise the importance of maintaining affordable choices with a convenient multi frequency schedule on this key business route that also serves as an important tourism link at a time when regional tourism organisations are looking to attract incoming trade off the back of the Euro’s strength against Sterling.
“In addition, our Newquay to London Gatwick route allows people who are looking to take affordable Great British Holidays at home this year the only one-stop route available from London to the South West.”
