Europe’s biggest regional airline appeals to passengers to dig deep to support Cancer Research UK
Wednesday 4th February is World Cancer Day and Flybe is teaming up with its chosen charity, Cancer Research UK, to help raise cash for vital research work.
As well as sponsored events, quizzes and dress down events, Flybe cabin crew will be shaking a bucket on all of its 300-plus scheduled flights from Inverness to Southern Spain and encouraging its passengers to dig deep to support this important cause.
Flybe Chief Commercial Officer Mike Rutter said: "Cancer is a disease that touches all of us and Flybe is proud to be working with Cancer Research UK in a long-term fundraising partnership. Our staff are raising money on World Cancer Day in a series of fundraising events around our bases, and we’re also appealing to our passengers to spare a few coins to help us raise thousands of pounds for this very worthy cause”
Cancer Research UK Corporate Partnerships Manager, Tim Rowland said: “Cancer Research UK is delighted to be working with Flybe. We hope as many of Flybe’s passengers as possible can donate their spare change to help us in our ultimate aim of beating cancer.”
