Flybe is delighted to announce a new pilot training partnership with CTC Aviation - "Flybe Wings" to be launched at the 'Flyer' Professional Flight Training Exhibition at Heathrow (UK) on 28 April 2012. This new partnership is another Flybe part-sponsored opportunity for aspiring pilots mirroring the standards already established by Flybe and CTC's "Wings" programme. "Flybe Wings" will offer successful applicants an opportunity to complete full time, integrated basic and intermediate training at CTC's Crew Training Centres in the United Kingdom and New Zealand before moving on to complete the Q400 'Type Rating' training at the Flybe Training Academy in Exeter (UK) and then flying the line as a Flybe Q400 First Officer.

Flybe working in partnership with FTE, Jerez, can now offer the new Multi Pilot Licence (MPL) and the Mentored Airline Pilots’ Scheme (MAPS) as paths to becoming a professional pilot with Flybe. Flybe can offer Part Sponsorship to some successful candidates on both courses. The MPL is an innovative new course making greater use of high level simulation, specifically designed to produce a high quality airline professional. View further details of MPL (PDF). For Successful MAPS applicants Flybe will cover the cost of a Jet Orientation Course (JOC) after completion of the JAA Integrated Course. Participation in MAPS results in high quality training with a proven very high success rate during subsequent type rating training with Flybe. Flybe is delighted to offer a partnership with Oxford Aviation Academy and partial sponsorship on their APP Pilot Training Integrated Course to produce high quality First Officers for the Dash 8 Q400 fleet. Selected candidates will undergo selection by Oxford Aviation Academy followed by interview by Flybe. Successful candidates will join the highly regarded APP Pilot Training Course including completion of a Jet Orientation Course (JOC). Flybe will make a substantial up front contribution towards the cost of the course and the candidate will be offered employment following successful completion of the course. Flybe and the Pilot Training College are delighted to offer both Part Sponsored and Mentored places on PTC’s new JAA Integrated Course. For part sponsored candidates Flybe will make a substantial contribution towards the cost of the course including a Jet Orientation Course conducted by SimTech in Dublin. Over the years Flybe has taken a regular supply of pilots who have graduated through Aeros’ modular ATPL course resulting in a very high success rate through Type Rating training.
