Flybe Partner Flight Training Organisations
Flybe’s partner Flight Training Organisations (FTO) provide various routes to achieving a commercial pilot’s licence Each year Flybe offers a number of mentored or part sponsored places with four FTO’s. Full details of each scheme and application details can be found on the relevant website.
CTC Aviation - "Flybe Wings"
Flybe is delighted to announce a new pilot training partnership with CTC Aviation - "Flybe Wings" to be launched at the 'Flyer' Professional Flight Training Exhibition at Heathrow (UK) on 28 April 2012. This new partnership is another Flybe part-sponsored opportunity for aspiring pilots mirroring the standards already established by Flybe and CTC's "Wings" programme. "Flybe Wings" will offer successful applicants an opportunity to complete full time, integrated basic and intermediate training at CTC's Crew Training Centres in the United Kingdom and New Zealand before moving on to complete the Q400 'Type Rating' training at the Flybe Training Academy in Exeter (UK) and then flying the line as a Flybe Q400 First Officer.

Both companies are equally determined to ensure that tomorrow's pilots are offered the very best, airline-focused training. Flight Training Europe, Jerez, Spain
Flybe working in partnership with FTE, Jerez, can now offer the new Multi Pilot Licence (MPL) and the Mentored Airline Pilots’ Scheme (MAPS) as paths to becoming a professional pilot with Flybe. Flybe can offer Part Sponsorship to some successful candidates on both courses. The MPL is an innovative new course making greater use of high level simulation, specifically designed to produce a high quality airline professional. View further details of MPL (PDF). For Successful MAPS applicants Flybe will cover the cost of a Jet Orientation Course (JOC) after completion of the JAA Integrated Course. Participation in MAPS results in high quality training with a proven very high success rate during subsequent type rating training with Flybe. Candidates for both schemes will be selected by FTE and interviewed by Flybe prior to commencement of the course. Completion of JOC will result in the offer of employment with Flybe. Oxford Aviation Academy, Oxford, UK
Flybe is delighted to offer a partnership with Oxford Aviation Academy and partial sponsorship on their APP Pilot Training Integrated Course to produce high quality First Officers for the Dash 8 Q400 fleet. Selected candidates will undergo selection by Oxford Aviation Academy followed by interview by Flybe. Successful candidates will join the highly regarded APP Pilot Training Course including completion of a Jet Orientation Course (JOC). Flybe will make a substantial up front contribution towards the cost of the course and the candidate will be offered employment following successful completion of the course. Pilot Training College, Ireland
Flybe and the Pilot Training College are delighted to offer both Part Sponsored and Mentored places on PTC’s new JAA Integrated Course. For part sponsored candidates Flybe will make a substantial contribution towards the cost of the course including a Jet Orientation Course conducted by SimTech in Dublin. For Mentored Airline Pilot Scheme applicants Flybe will also cover the cost of the JOC, after successful completion of the JAA Integrated Course. Candidates for both schemes will be selected by PTC and interviewed by Flybe prior to commencement of the course. Completion of the JOC will result in a conditional offer of employment with Flybe. Modular course training providers
Aeros, Gloucester, UK
Flybe is a full Airline Partner with Aeros based at Gloucester Airport. Over the years Flybe has taken a regular supply of pilots who have graduated through Aeros’ modular ATPL course resulting in a very high success rate through Type Rating training. Although Flybe does not operate a sponsorship or assisted training scheme with Aeros, any candidates completing a successful Company selection procedure will be offered JOC at AFT. Professional Air Training Ltd, Bournemouth, UK
Flybe is proud to be a full Airline Partner with Professional Air Training Ltd (PAT) based at Bournemouth Airport. PAT specialises in modular training for the Multi CPL/IR. Flybe has been operating an established recommendation scheme for students training with PAT since January 2008 with a very high success rate. Any candidates completing a successful Company selection process who do not complete a JOC course during their training will be offered a fully funded JOC course through Flybe.
