Flybe is at the forefront of the European regional aviation industry and a market leader in introducing innovative customer-focused enhancements. Below is a summary of just some of these innovations and achievements;

2010


July

  • Flybe signs multi-billion dollar deal with Embraer for up to 140 Embraer 175 and E-family aircraft (35 firm E175 Aircraft/65 options/40 purchase options) to support its planned European growth
  • Flybe and Air France sign extensive codeshare agreement. 85 routes are covered by the deal

2009


September

  • Flybe announces plan to build Training Academy in Exeter

June

  • Flybe’s CEO Jim French awarded CBE in Queen’s birthday honours list for services to aviation

January

  • Flybe given prestigious Air Transport World Regional Airline of the Year 2009 award in Washington DC

2008


May

  • Flybe re-accommodates 20,000 passengers left without flights after collapse of Isle of Man-based airline, Euromanx, all without charge

January

  • Announces landmark franchise agreement with Loganair, the Scottish regional airline, the first such deal for a low-cost airline
  • Flybe named by UK Government as one of only three companies to be given an Awarding Body status for approved qualifications

2007


August

  • Flybe launches the UK’s first low cost frequent flyer programme, Rewards4all, the first low cost FFP in the UK to reward all passengers for every flight they take

June

  • Flybe launches the world’s first aviation eco-labelling scheme

March

  • Flybe acquires BA Connect to become Europe’s largest regional airline

October

  • Flybe introduces flight changes online functionality

  • Flybe first to offer customers protection against airline failure with Scheduled Airline Failure Insurance

  • Flybe enhances its premium business offering, All In

  • Flybe launches its Fair Deal on Baggage

The Flybe Unaccompanied Minor Scheme is not available to children under 15 years of age on flights operated by Air France. These must be booked directly with Air France.

The Flybe Unaccompanied Minor Scheme is not available through Knock - Ireland West (NOC).
