One of the best areas for designer labels in Leeds is the Victoria Quarter. With breathtaking Victorian architecture and some of the biggest names in British fashion, this arcade offers a unique shopping in Leeds experience. Here you will find such esteemed names as Vivienne Westwood and Paul Smith, amongst many others.

The biggest name in fashion in Leeds is without doubt Harvey Nichols, which can also be found in the Victoria Quarter. This is one of the most popular shops in Leeds and attracts a number of visitors to Leeds city centre. Other top names to be found in Leeds include Ted Baker, Karen Millen, Reiss, Molton Brown, TM Lewin and Diesel.

Leeds shopping for high street names

The city centre of Leeds is home to a number of top high street names and if your budget won't stretch to designer labels, you will still find plenty of shops in Leeds city centre to fulfil your needs. The likes of Topshop, River Island, H&M and Zara all have stores in Leeds, so you can indulge in a spot of retail therapy even if you have a modest budget.

Off the beaten track shopping in Leeds

Leeds shopping may be great for both designer labels and high street chic, but if you delve a little deeper, you will find some fantastic independent retailers and markets.

The Corn Exchange is a stunning Grade 1 listed building which now houses some eclectic shops. Here you will find a wide range of retailers, selling everything from original works of art to accessories. There are also plenty of cafes here, so you can take a break and relax with a coffee whilst admiring the award-winning architecture.

Leeds markets

In the city centre, you will find Kirkgate Market, also known as Leeds Market. This was once home to the first penny bazaar of Michael Marks of Marks & Spencer fame. Today, you will find all manner of items here, from fresh fruit and veg to electrical goods, all housed in a stunning building. If you visit the city in December, you may wish to go to the German-style Christmas Market, which takes place in Millennium Square.
