Transport links and parking

There are a number of options for your journey to and from the airport.

Glasgow Airport parking

If you are travelling from Glasgow and wish to take your own car, there are short and long stay parking facilities available, as well as pick-up and drop-off points and a fast track service. It is best to book in advance to ensure you get the best price, although you will still be able to park if you don't. There is a dedicated Glasgow Airport Parking website which can be accessed through the airport's main portal. The address can be found at the bottom of this page.

Glasgow Airport by public transport

Glasgow Airport does not have its own railway station but Paisley Gilmour Street station is just one mile away and can be easily reached by taxi or bus. From Paisley Gilmour Street, there are regular trains to Glasgow Central, from where you can travel further afield. There is a regular shuttle bus serving the airport so it is easy to travel to and from the airport by public transport.

Glasgow Airport taxis

Glasgow Airport is a major international hub and so there are always plenty of taxis available in the rank at the front of the terminal building. All taxis are metered and a typical journey into the city centre will cost around '20. It is possible to pre-book a taxi and all private-hire vehicles must use Car Park 1 or Car Park 2 when collecting passengers.

Glasgow Airport car hire

If you are travelling to the airport and are planning to explore Glasgow and the surrounding area, you may wish to hire a car. There is no need to pre-book, although you may wish to do so to get the best deal. A number of car hire companies have offices at the airport.

Internet access

There is Wi-Fi internet access throughout the terminal, provided by Boingo. The service is easy to use - simply open your browser and follow the payment instructions. There are also internet desks throughout the airport, both before and after security, if you do not have a wireless enabled device with you.

Other business facilities

There are comprehensive business facilities at the airport and meeting rooms are available at the Glasgow Airport Business Centre, which is adjacent to the terminal building.
