BE HANDS ON

Flybe has Europe's largest regional aircraft maintenance facility based at Exeter International Airport in Devon, England, where we have a brand new state of the art hangar facility.

We are the only airline with this facility based in Southwest England, which allows our employees here to experience a lengthy career in the aviation industry whilst enjoying the relaxed City lifestyle that Exeter has to offer. In addition to this, we also have a maintenance facility based at Brize Norton for those looking to develop an engineering career with Flybe in this part of the country.

Flybe employs a variety of Engineers for both our base and line maintenance operations across the UK, including qualified B1/B2 Licenced Engineers, Engineering Instructors, Mechanical Fitters and Avionic Fitters. It is here that our team of Engineers work to maintain both Flybe and third party clients’ aircraft. Over 70% of our engineering work is for third party clients from all over the globe. Therefore our engineers can expect to work on the following aircraft:

  1. Dash Q400
  1. BA 146/RJ
  1. EMB 195
  1. CRJ 200

If you have experience of working on these aircraft, we would love to hear from you. However for those with gaps in experience, Flybe prides itself on being able to provide our Engineers with the appropriate training to be able to work on these aircraft at our state of the art Training Academy in Exeter. We also provide support for our employees who are passionate about developing their career in Engineering by assisting with the self-study required to become a licenced Engineer.

We also have opportunities for Supervisors, Team Leaders, Technicians and Mechanics to work across our 11 different workshop disciplines including machining, welding, electrical and safety. It is in these workshops where our Engineers work on aircraft components off-wing. Here we have numerous C-rating capability, meaning you are not limited to work with components from the aircraft above. Our workshops offer a great opportunity for those looking to develop an Engineering career in the aviation industry within a strong team environment.
