Booking a flight
How to book a flight
You can buy flights via one of the following methods:
- Buy online through this site using our secure online sales system
- Book through the Customer Call Centre
- By visiting your local travel agent
- For full corporate travel requirements, visit our B2B site
Tips for lower fares
If you can be flexible on your dates and times of travel our brief guide to finding the cheapest fares may be of help. The guide is by no means definitive and is only meant as a rough rule of thumb.
- International Routes
More low fares available on flights between Monday and Thursday - Domestic UK Routes
Avoid Monday mornings and Friday afternoons/evenings - Holidays
Try to avoid travel just before or after a major Bank Holiday, eg. Christmas or Easter
Some routes have lower fares which require a minimum stay of two nights or a Saturday night. Book as far in advance as possible.
How to pay
Payment for bookings can be made using a debit or credit card. Flybe does not accept cash or cheque as payment for changes made to booked itineraries. Exceptions to this are:
- Walk-ups at outstations
- Changes at the desk
- Excess baggage payments
- Bookings through the Flybe Groups department
- Business Express customers
The currency shown in your booking will be determined by the origin of your journey however all funds will be debited in pounds sterling.
Card charges
To defray the substantial administration and financial services costs we incur when processing credit and debit cards a handling fee applies to each passenger per one way flight. Even allowing for these small charges, our fares still represent the best value for money.
Flybe Connections
Flybe and franchisees make every effort to operate to their published schedules. There are occasions however, where it is not possible to do so and a flight may be delayed or cancelled. This notification informs you of your rights under EC Regulation No 261/2004 should this happen; it does not give you any additional contractual rights. This law is applicable to all passengers departing from an airport within the EU and to all passengers travelling into an EU Member State on an EU carrier unless they have received assistance in the country of departure. It is the operating carrier's responsibility to meet these requirements.
In the event that Flybe or one of its franchise partners fail to operate to schedule meaning a connection booked as part of a Flybe Connection is missed, then we will make every effort to reacommodate passengers onto the nearest available flight.
Tickets
Bookings made through the this internet site or the Flybe Customer Call Centre will be made, where possible, on an e-ticket (electronic ticket). This means you will not be issued a paper ticket for travel.
Refunds
We do not sell refundable fares. Any tax redemption on unused tickets will incur a £25 administration fee per person per sector.
Booking review period
Flybe offer a 24 hour booking review period within which, and if Flybe deem that an error has been made by the booker when making the booking, at Flybe's discretion a change may be made to the booking without incuring the standard change fees.
