Flybe is one of Europe’s largest and most successful regional airlines and with over 30 years of continuous operation we offer real job security and career progression throughout our network of 14 UK bases.
Applications will be considered for the Dash 8 aircraft only. Jet positions are filled from within the company on a seniority basis.
Direct entry captains
Flybe has a policy of promoting internally to fill command positions. However when required, applications may be considered for Direct Entry Commands from pilots who have at least 2,500 hours total time. This should include a minimum of 500 hours command experience on a relevant type ie aircraft with a MTOW greater than 10 tonnes.
First officers
Flybe recruit First Officers from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels. Our aim is to recruit candidates with the potential for future command opportunities within the airline.
Newly qualified pilots should have completed either an Integrated or Modular flying course at a recognised Flight Training Organisation (FTO). A minimum of 90% average at ground school stage of training is required. In addition to holding a valid UK CAA or JAR licence and medical on application First Officer candidates should also have completed a Multi Crew Co-operation course. Modular candidates should have completed training at a single FTO, not including basic PPL training or ATPL theory study and examination.
Other requirements
All applicants must speak fluent English and where relevant have the right to live and work in the UK. Applicants for the Channel Islands ie Jersey and Guernsey must have the relevant residential qualifications.

Engineering recruitment
We have ongoing expansion plans and have completed of phase 1 of our £15 million state of the art facilities in Exeter and currently employ a variety of Engineers to support not only the Flybe fleet but also third party clients who provide more than 70% of our customer base.
